Thanksgiving

Hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving. We are having a fun time. Our friends from Iowa are out visiting. The kids are all having fun together. They have a girl about Raf's age and a boy about Skylar's age. The Dads are out hunting trying to get our friend a cow elk. No luck yet. All they can find now are bulls. Go figure.
Ralph got his pilots license last weekend. He went to Kansas and took his test. He had to stall the plane and then recover and land it with the engine off. I'm just glad he told me all that stuff after he was on the ground.
Our house is supposed to be getting painted this coming week!!!!! Finally.

First Posting

I just heard of this site yesterday and thought it might be a good place for our distant loved ones to keep an eye on us. We'll see I guess.

Kid Update:
Raf is 3 years and 3 months old. He is my perfect boy. He is at that wonderful stage of asking "why" about everything. He say "cause why" instead though. He has an amazing memory. He remembers going to the zoo when he was a year and half. He remembers all about Bubble and Poppy's house with the pond and fireflies. He picks out every jeep we see and says "that like Grumpa's jeep." He also remember all the restaurants he went to with Grumpa. He gives me a dozen hugs before I leave him at the sitters. It makes me want to cry when he says he wants to stay home with me all the time.

Skylar is 1 year and 3 months old. She is my perfect little girl. I'm not biased. She copies her brother, and he usually copies her when it is something he shouldn't. They play pretty good together most of the time. I love watching them dance. She loves her teddies and dollies. She will try to wrap them in a blanket, feed them, sing to them, and rock them. She gives the best hugs in the world.

They really are the sweetest things. They run to the door when Ralph comes home. They chase after the cats, poor things. They even stand on my kitchen table when I'm not looking. Scare me to death.

BIg Kid Update:
Ralph is going to Kansas this weekend to take a pilot test and do his cross country flight and someother stuff. I'm not exactly sure what the test consists of. He has been studying all week. Way to wait till last second sweetie.
He is finally done with hunting season, almost. We have some friends coming out from Iowa next week and he is taking the husband hunting. Other then that Ralph is just working hard like always. Soon will be snowmobile season and he will be able to play on his new sled. My spoiled big boy.

My Update:
Just busy with work and kids mostly. Waiting for the house to be finished. I'm so excited. We are waiting on the painter, then the tile guy and then the cabinets. We are supposed to be in by Christmas. I'll cry if we aren't. I told Ralph he never had to buy me another present if I got my house. He wanted that in writing. I'm working on getting my certification in Adaptive PE. I already teach it, but I'm not certified. Any spare second I get away from the little ones I do homework for that. I should be doing it now, but..... I work four days a week which is so awesome. It is amazing how fast a week can go. Friday is mine and the kids day. I love being home with them.
